Born and raised in Miami, Gabriel earned his Juris Doctor from Florida International University College of Law. While in law school, he served in FIU Law’s Small Business Clinic, advising entrepreneurs on corporate matters. He also participated in the Hispanic National Bar Association’s Intellectual Property and Technology Law Immersive Program in Washington, D.C., which reinforced his interest in representing businesses navigating complex legal challenges. Gabriel remains actively involved in the Hispanic National Bar Association and the Cuban American Bar Association.
Before joining EPGD, Gabriel practiced at a civil defense firm in Miami, where he focused on representing employers in complex labor and employment litigation. His experience includes defending against claims of workplace discrimination and harassment under Title VII, the ADA, and the FCRA; retaliation claims under federal and state law; FLSA wage and hour disputes involving misclassification and unpaid overtime; and enforcement or defense of restrictive covenants, including non-compete, non-solicitation, and confidentiality agreements. His broader experience also includes personal injury, medical malpractice, class actions, and negligent security and retention claims on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants.
A former competitive baseball player, Gabriel still thrives on staying active by playing soccer regularly. Weekends are usually spent unwinding with his wife and family, golfing, or grilling with a Marlins or Dolphins game playing in the background.
