He is part of the Dispute Resolution and Litigation practice at EPGD Business Law, and he focuses his practice on Litigation, Dispute Resolution, International Arbitration, and Civil Law. He obtained a Juris Doctor equivalent from Universidad de Los Hemisferios, Ecuador, in 2018. Mr. Andrade earned his JD/LLM degree in International Arbitration from the University of Miami School of Law in 2021. During his time at UM, he became the President of the Miami Law International Arbitration Society “MLIAS” 2020-2021. He was a research assistant for Torts and International Law 2020-2021. He competed in the International Moot Court Competition “Moot Madrid,” representing UM in 2020 and 2021 as part of the International Moot Court Program.
His experience covers commercial arbitration across different industries before different arbitral institutions, the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the International Center for Dispute Resolution (ICDR), and the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”). Before joining the EPGD litigation team, Mr. Andrade worked for the In-house Corporate department for Latin America of Blink Charging Co. He interned for the International Arbitration departments of REED SMITH LLP, Shutts & Bowen LLP, and DLA Piper LLP, Miami offices. In addition, he worked at the Oil, Gas, and Mining Department at FERRERE Abogados, Ecuador. As well at the Corporate-Tax Department of PAZ & HOROWITZ Abogados, Ecuador.
He was one of the first Volunteers to open the INNOCENCE PROJECT in Ecuador (sponsored by the California Innocence Project) in 2018.
Juan enjoys playing the guitar and playing tennis or soccer with his friends in his free time.
