Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Beatriz is an experienced litigation attorney with nearly two decades of legal experience with a primary focus on family and matrimonial law. She represents clients in a wide range of complex and sensitive matters, including high-net-worth and high-conflict child-related disputes, dissolution of marriage, paternity actions, stepparent adoptions, relocation cases, domestic violence and post-judgment modifications. Her practice also includes negotiating and drafting prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, as well as comprehensive marital and paternity settlement agreements.
Beatriz began her legal career at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, where she first served as a certified legal intern and tried her first jury trial as a third-year law student, securing a guilty verdict. She later became an Assistant State Attorney, gaining invaluable courtroom experience before transitioning into private practice. There, she handled general civil litigation and family law matters, ultimately dedicating the majority of her career to family law litigation.
In addition to her litigation work, Beatriz is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Law Mediator and a strong advocate for mediation and alternative dispute resolution. She works diligently to help clients resolve matters efficiently and amicably whenever possible, while remaining a zealous and effective advocate in the courtroom when litigation is necessary.
