Originally born in India and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Meghana Raj earned her undergraduate degree from Augusta University. She is currently a rising 2L at Florida State University College of Law, where she is actively involved in student leadership programs. Highly engaged in her campus community, Meghana serves as the Vice President of both the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund and the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association, and recently secured an executive board position on Moot Court as the Alumni Relations Director.
Prior to law school, she gained valuable experience in client advocacy during her three years at the Augusta Public Defender’s Office, and developed a strong interest in legislation and public policy while working at the Georgia Capitol. Dedicated to public service, she exceeded her required pro bono hours during her first year by working with the Farmworker Association of Florida to support underserved communities. Meghana is passionate about continuous education and aims to build a career centered around advocacy, growth, and real estate development. Outside of her legal studies, Meghana is an adventurous spirit who enjoys traveling, riding motorcycles, and participating in water sports, including taking up wakeboarding this summer.
