Miami-Based Business Law Firm Appoints Beatriz Arroyave as Managing Attorney to Lead New Practice Area
MIAMI, FL — April 2026
EPGD Business Law, a premier Miami-based business law firm, announces the formal expansion of its legal services with the establishment of a dedicated Family Law department. Leading this new division is Beatriz Arroyave, an experienced family law litigator with nearly two decades of practice, who joins the firm as Managing Attorney of Family Law.
What Is EPGD Business Law Expanding?
EPGD Business Law is adding a full-service Family Law practice to its existing suite of legal services, which includes business and commercial litigation, corporate transactional law, trusts, and estates. The expansion positions EPGD to serve clients navigating both their business and personal legal needs under one roof.
Who Is Beatriz Arroyave?
Beatriz Arroyave is a Miami native and seasoned litigation attorney who brings nearly 20 years of legal experience to EPGD, with a primary focus on family and matrimonial law. Her practice encompasses high-net-worth and high-conflict matters, including dissolution of marriage, child custody and paternity disputes, relocation cases, domestic violence, stepparent adoptions, post-judgment modifications, and prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.
Arroyave began her career at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, where she tried her first jury trial as a third-year law student, securing a guilty verdict and later served as an Assistant State Attorney before transitioning to private practice. Alongside her legal practice, she is also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Law Mediator, where she facilitates discussions between parties to help them reach a resolution. This experience allows her to approach each case with a broader perspective from both a settlement and litigation standpoint – whether guiding parties toward a fair outcome as a mediator or advocating for a client’s interests in court
Admitted to the Florida Bar and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida since 2007, Arroyave holds a Juris Doctorate from Florida State University and a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Florida International University. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.
Why Is EPGD Adding Family Law?
Family and business legal matters are often deeply interconnected, particularly for business owners, executives, and high-net-worth individuals navigating marital transitions, asset protection, or succession planning. By expanding into family law, EPGD is able to provide comprehensive legal counsel that addresses clients’ full legal picture, not just one dimension of it.

“We have been looking for the right person to lead our expansion into family law for a few years and Bea is that person in spades. She is a true professional that is well respected in the South Florida family law community. We are very lucky to have her and be able to build the firm out with her at the helm of the Family Law Department.”
— Oscar A. Gomez, Managing Partner, EPGD Business Law
