What the ranking recognizes

A law firm doesn’t grow the way most companies on a list like this one grow. There’s no new product line, no second location running the same playbook at scale. A law firm grows when more people decide to hand over something that matters to them: a company they spent a decade building, a dispute that could undo it, an idea they’d like to still own next year.

Over 50% growth across two years is what trust looks like once you add it up. It placed EPGD Business Law at No. 21 among the privately held companies the South Florida Business Journal tracked this year, on a list ranked strictly by two-year revenue growth.

How the South Florida Business Journal built the list

The South Florida Business Journal researches its Fastest-Growing Companies list locally, gathering revenue figures directly from company representatives and having them verified by an independent third-party accountant before publication. Eligibility is limited to privately held companies headquartered in Miami-Dade, Broward, or Palm Beach counties. Honorees learned their official placements at the awards celebration held August 20 at Gulfstream Park’s Sport of Kings Theater in Hallandale Beach.

What’s behind the number

People, mostly.

EPGD Business Law began as Eric Gros-Dubois‘s solo practice and grew through a series of deliberate additions rather than one expansion event. Today it is owned by three shareholders: founding partner Eric Gros-Dubois, managing partner Oscar Gomez, and Alberto “Papo” Manrara, who joined the firm was named partner in 2022 after five years as a Miami-Dade trial prosecutor and was named partner in 2022. Gomez, who chairs the firm’s litigation group and was named to Florida Trend’s Legal Elite NOTABLE list of managing partners in 2026, has overseen day-to-day operations across the period of these ranking measures.

The firm’s leadership bench has widened around them with four additional partners. Benjamin Bedrava manages the firm’s trademark practice; Francisco León de la Barra represents investors and developers in commercial real estate; Sarah Denis handles lender representation, loan workouts, and restructuring; Aviv Asoulin rose through the ranks joined in 2024 to lead the firm’s corporate transactional work. Behind them is a robust team of attorneys, law clerks, paralegals, and staff who handle the unglamorous parts: the filings, the follow-ups, the client who calls at 6 p.m. on a Friday.

The client base has grown alongside South Florida itself. As the region has absorbed new companies, new capital, and a steady arrival of founders from across the Americas, EPGD Business Law has grown with the businesses it serves across corporate structuring, litigation, intellectual property, and tax.

What EPGD’s founding and managing partners say

Picture of Eric Gros-Dubois

“I started this firm in one office, and the thing that’s grown fastest since isn’t revenue, it’s the number of people willing to bet on us. That’s what this ranking really measures. I’m grateful to every attorney and staff member who earned that trust, and to every client who took a chance on us early.”

— Eric Gros-Dubois, Founding Partner, EPGD Business Law

Picture of Oscar Gomez

“It is wonderful to have our firm’s growth recognized by the South Florida Business Journal. We have created a very special place built on a great foundation and we look forward to its continued growth and success over the coming years. ”

— Oscar Gomez, Managing Partner, EPGD Business Law
